The Splendor is back with the new album Delphian Palace! After the celebrated debut album ”Sound of Splendor” in 2008, the quartet went on to focus even more on the brief and fleeting whims and the spontaneous interplay of their music. Many of the songs on the new album are therefore completely improvised, or composed in the moment, if you will. The members of The Splendor have always had a common fascination for that kind of blurry but colourful musical landscape that appears when one, after hours of playing suddenly lower one’s guard and lift one’s eyes. Like when an intimate late night conversation carries on even when the subject becomes unclear. There’s a fresh jazz breeze blowing in from the west coast. Two of Gothenburg’s finest music mongers have created the phenomenon Le Système. Using an organ and a drum kit, some jazz, some afro, some groove, some pop, and quite a bit of improvisation, they keep building upon the new foundation they’ve established within modern Swedish jazz.

Nils Berg stands in the forefront of scandinavian jazz. Passing on the tradition of innovators like Lars Gullin and Jan Garbarek, Berg is now sharing his version of jazz in the global age. The Lines is the debut album from Linus Lindblom quartet, one of the most interesting young jazz groups of Sweden of today. Linus Lindblom, composer and saxophone player, born in Kilafors 1977, has been living and working in Stockholm, Sweden since 1998. This quartet was formed in 2001 and consists of Nils Janson, trumpet, Nils Ölmedal (from the Stoner) on bass and Jon Persson on drums.

The voice-improviser Lindha is a top of the line-musician in Swedish and international progressive improvisation. Since Lindha was rewarded with the prestigious "Jazz in Sweden"-prize 2001 she has made several collaborations and albums with musicians such as Barry Guy, Palle Danielsson, Fredrik Ljungkvist, Anna Lindahl, Sonic Youth and Ikue Mori.
